The latest update from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and what this means

Friday, September 27, 2024

The latest update from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero including the monthly statistics for HUG have been released showing another 400 properties have been upgraded under the HUG2 scheme in July, giving a total of 3,000 homes receiving upgrades to date. 5700 measures have also been installed to date including another 720 in July.  Aran have completed upgrades to 379 (12.6%) of all homes benefiting from the scheme.

HUG2 has been a challenge to deliver but progress is clearly now being made. We are delighted to be one of the small number of firms who have been able to make progress with HUG 2 delivery, supporting upgrades to the homes of hundreds of families who will benefit from reduced fuel bills and a more comfortable home this winter.

The team at Aran have been integral to the delivery of the scheme in the East of England where over 690 homes have been upgraded to date the 2nd highest region for delivery in England. The Team have managed the installation of measures to 252 (37%) homes and are proud to have delivered such a large proportion of work in the East of England.

The recently announced Warm Homes: Local Grant scheme is a great opportunity to expand on the HUG2 success and increase the number of homes helped and reduce fuel poverty.

We look forward to continuing to support our existing partner organisations and would be happy to discuss how we can work with new partners to develop new programmes of work to benefit our local communities.
